If you are searching for just one set of Janis to own and are not a completist as I am with her music, in my opinion this is the one to have. All in chronological order, this 2 disc set has all the highlights through Janis's short but legendary career. This is an awesome listening experience from start to finish. Most of my favourites are here. Love that they have the Monterey version of "Ball and Chain" here..... no matter how often I listen to this, I always get blown away !!!....."Summertime" is a hauntingly beautiful song that Janis puts me under her spell with, while "Work Me Lord" and "Little Girl Blue" bring out all the emotions in me and bring a tear to my eye. At the end of the day, my favourite pastime is to sit out the back, have a few drinks and chill with Janis keeping me company...... love her.
