    The Haight- Ashbury

    Growing up in San Francisco, I was 17 in 1968. Went to the Haight many times. Saw most of the great bands that came out of there at the Avalon Ballroom, Fillmore Auditorium, Winterland ( former ice skating rink ), Fillmore West. Saw Big Brother at the Longshoremen's Union Hall down at Fisherman's Wharf. ( top 40 concerts were held there before the hippies came on the scene ). This CD is the best live version of the band I've ever heard.

    Excellent live recording. Only went to Winterland a couple of times. The audio there was very good. So if it was recorded direct from the house mix the FOH engineer did a great job! Keep on Rolling!!!
