Janis has blown us all away with her powerful voice and talent, however, she was also a very accomplished visual artist. Her art shows us a very talented artist that was able to achieve a very strong expression in her paintings and drawings beyond her music and style.
Janis studied art in college in the years before she finally headed out to San Francisco to join Big Brother & The Holding Company as the band's lead singer.
